For the last year and a half I have used nothing but micellar waters to remove makeup. Garnier, L'oreal and Inell are my favorite. From time to time I read blog posts about cleansing balms, oils... and such, but it never really intrigued me to try any. Until L'occitane released their cleansing oil. I really wanted to try that one. But I just couldn't justify spending 20€ on it, when I have my 2€ micellar water from Leclerc at home and it works perfectly. A week ago I was just browsing the skin isle in Muller and I saw this... L'oreal cleansing oil for 9€. Without any further though, I bought it.

My first thoughts? I LOVE IT. You must keep in mind, that this is first cleansing oil I have ever tried, so I can't really compare it to anything else. But from what I experienced in a week of using it, I think it works like it's supposed to. 

For an easier review, I decided to write facts about it in lines:

- it is called Öl Richesse - gentle cleansing oil

- they claim it removes even waterproof makeup

- it is suitable for all skin types, doesn't make your skin greasy

- works for face, eyes and lips

- 150ml costs 9€

It is very liquidy, even if it's an oil, it is not a thick consistency. You put 3 - 4 pumps in your hand, and gently massage it all over your dry(!!!) face. After you can see all the makeup dissolved, you wet your hands and massage your face a little more. The water transforms the oil into a light foam and after that you wash your face with water. 

It does what it says. I usually wear heavy eye makeup and quite a few coats of mascara and it removed all of it, easily. It literally melts your makeup. If you wear a lot of mascara (or waterproof) you have to hold your fingers on your lashes for a few seconds, and it removes easily. I noticed that the foundation and bronzer were gone of my skin in seconds. After you create a nice makeup mess on your face, you just wet your hands and it comes off right away. You can see how dirty the water is when you rinse it off. 

The water takes of all the oil and leaves completely no residue behind, so you can easily get away with using only this, if you are feeling too lazy to use a face wash for your skin. The scent on this is amazing! It is sweet, but not overwhelming. I love the scent. 

The only bad thing I have to say is, that when rinsing with water, it makes my eyesight slightly foggy, but it goes away in about 15 seconds. The second I dry my face with a towel, I can see normally again. 

I know some girls have problems with products breaking them out, but that never happened to me before in my life, and neither with this product. It left my skin totally clean, soft and happy!

So this was my experience with the first cleansing oil I ever purchased. I can safely say, I would buy this again, because it works really nice and is something different, I am quite tired of the endless quantity of cotton pads I have to use with my micellar water.

Just recently I wrote a blog post dedicated to my favorite spring nail polishes, you can check it here: click. Thinking about all that pretty colors made me want to have more! I decided I should go for another Essie polish, because they are one of the best you can get, in my opinion. And here is the one I chose, it is called EXOTIC LIRAS.

First thought I had was: this is just like Watermelon (another Essie shade I adore). After detailed observation the last verdict was: no they are not the same, I need them both! So I bought it. And what a good decision that was!

The formula is gorgeous, the same as Watermelon. Very glossy finish, full opacity in one coat and dries very quickly. I couldn't want more from a nail polish. 

What about the color? Essie says that Exotic liras is a deeply decadent fuchsia, and Watermelon is a creamy and refreshing juicy red. Now that's some cute description. They both look pinky-red to me, except Watermelon is a bit of a brighter pink, and Exotic liras looks more red. Of course photos don't show their true color, as always. But you can get the idea. I promise you, in real life they don't look near as similar as they do in these photos.

Hello ladies! Today I would like to share with you my top 5 favorite colors I tend to pick a bit more now, when the spring is here. They are all pretty light, pink, girly colors - because that's usually the color I wear, other than red and burgundy. I am sorry there are no greens or blues or similar, but honestly I don't ever wear such colors on my nails, I am just not a fan and I don't think they suit me. These, on the other hand, are totally my cup of tea! Let's see...

Three Essie polishes I love the most (from left to right):

WATERMELON - my top favorite one. This is such a pretty vibrant pink - red, a shade that is really hard to capture in it's complete glory. It is such an unique color and the formula is brilliant - one coat is enough for a very opaque and shiny color. If you want to try one Essie polish - this is the one I totally recommend.

CUTE AS A BUTTON - another well known Essie shade. This is another shade that is tough to capture its true shade. I would describe it as a orange - coral - pink mixture. This one needs two coats.

FIJI - you all know this one. Hard to work with it, because it can get quite streaky, but the color is amazing. White-ish/milky light pink, making your hands look polished and feminine. This is not your typical spring color, but I chose to choose it anyway, because it is really refreshing to wear shades like this sometime in between all the other bright colors.

And now for two Catrice polishes:

RASPBERRY FIELDS FOREVER (left) - this shade almost reminds me a little of Essie's Watermelon - in the bottle, but when applied on the nails, they look different. You can also see that from the swatches below. This is wonderful bright pink shade, in certain lights looking totally red! What is with all these color chameleons? It is not too much 'in your face' vibrant pink, it is just enough toned down to look perfect for my taste (I guess that is because of the red undertones). I really don't know why but I love to wear this on my toes. I guess I don't even have to mention that this on is another 'why do you look so different in photos than in real life' shades.

A GALLON OF MELON (right) - one of the newest additions to my collection, it has been released just recently. This I would describe as a coral pink, looking very pastel. In some lights it looked like a neon coral to me. The formula is not the easiest to work with - at least the polish I got, is pretty thick. It is no where near being sheer, but nonetheless you need to apply two coats, just to make it look perfectly even and not streaky. 

And here are the swatches. As I mentioned before, not all the colors look the same in the picture than I real life, sorry about that. But still you can get the idea about how they look.

GARNIER OLIA hair color. I like to experiment with hair colors and usually mix two different shades. Although last time turned out a disaster (my hair came out black), I can't wait to try these two. I heard many good comments about the Olia hair dye! I got shades: Deep red, and Intense red.

ESSENCE NAIL POLISH REMOVER strawberry+passion fruit. My favorite cheap nail polish remover, repurchased many times.

LE PETIT MARSEILIAIS BODY BUTTER with shea butter, chamomile oil and fig milk. Already tried this since I bought it. Smells really nice, I can't describe the scent but I also can't say I smell any fig or chamomile in here. It has a very soft texture, almost feels like it is whipped. The scent stays on the skin for hours, and is really pleasant for my taste. I really like this one, I might repurchase other scents too. (3,59€ / 250ml / Leclerc)

Both of these are a repurchase. BALEA AQUA SERUM is a very good moisturizing serum I use under my daily moisturizer, it gives me just enough of the extra moisture my very dry skin needs. BALEA NIGHT CREAM UREA 5% is a brilliant very thick any moisturizing night cream for dry skin. I always use this in spring and summer, because my dry skin just never gives up, no matter what season of the year. I started using these two when I ran out of the Avon winter skin care I had. 

(Price: serum 30ml / 2,99€, night cream 50ml / 2,69€, both in DM).

GLISS KUR HAIR OIL. This is a nice drugstore hair oil, nothing special, but it makes my hair look shiny and soft and keeps my hair ends protected, and that is all I want. I feel like I have to use a lot of it to really cover my hair, so I think I am going to run out of this one very soon. I don't really like the scent, it is the typical 'Gliss kur oil' scent, luckily for me it doesn't stay on my hair for too long.

GLISS KUR DEEP REPAIR SERUM. I have not yet tried this. The packaging and the fact that it was a new product intrigued me to buy it. I will use this as a conditioner. Smells really nice, too. (Price: 3,95€ / 200ml in Muller)

SYOSS ANTI-GREASE DRY SHAMPOO. Haven't tried this one yet, either. I really liked the other one (volume) so I decided to give this a try. I found that Syoss dry shampoo only really works if you use it like the instructions say to (you have to shake well before every spray and the brush your hair really well), I can get away with two extra days before washing if I use it.

ESSENCE LONG LASTING LIPSTICK in 04 ON THE CATWALK. Another of the popular Essence lipsticks I added to my collection. You can really build this shade up, from a sheer, light red tint to a full on red. (Price: 2,49€ in Muller)

CATRICE LIPSTICK 370 IN A ROSEGARDEN. I had my eyes on this pretty pink shade for a while, and decided it is time for me to get it. It goes perfectly with any makeup. (Price: 4,29€ in DM)

BOURJOIS ROUGE VELVET in NUDE-IST. I am sure you already know of these gorgeous lipsticks. After seeing a lot of photos of other bloggers wearing it, I really wanted to try it for myself. It is a darker nude shade but it doesn't look brown, and I am really happy about that, because brown is a big no no for my taste. It lasts very well for such a light shade and the velvet finish is unbelievably stunning. (Price 12,99€ in Muller.)

ESSENCE LIP LINER in 06 A GIRL'S DREAM. Very creamy, glides on like a dream and lasts for quite a long time. This shade goes perfectly with dark nude or light red shades.

ESSENCE BLUSH BRUSH. The design on these is so pretty. The brush is very soft and is nice to work with it, but I don't really feel like it is very appropriate for blushes, because of the shape, I think it works better for a light contour with bronzer. I will stick to the regular shaped ones for my blusher. I really like how soft it is, nonetheless. (Price: 2,99€ in Muller)

BOURJOIS PUSH UP VOLUME GLAMOUR. I wanted to get the Maybelline Lash sensational mascara, but after some thinking I realized that maybe that wouldn't be the best idea because I am not the biggest fan of plastic wands - I have eye contacts and plastic wands really hurt the roots of my lashes sometimes, which tends to irritate my eyes. So I went for this one. The best decision ever! I love it. I will do a blog post about it for sure, you should stick around for that. :)

Why is this only now my first L'OREAL INFALLIBLE EYESHADOW, I have no idea. This is brilliant. I got this beautiful golden 'Sahara treasure' shade. This works like a pressed pigment, it is very pigmented and felt almost creamy when I swatched it. I love it! I am sure you already heard a lot about these! (Price: 8,45€ in DM - very pricey!)

ALVERDE MAKEUP FIXING SPRAY. First makeup fixing spray I tried - a little disappointed. I honestly see no difference! But I only used it a few times, I have to try it some more before I make my final decision. It is a very small packaging, and the smell is very strong - but not that unpleasant. I really want to try the UD fixing spray. (Price: 3,79€ / 50ml in DM)

CATRICE NAIL POLISHES IN (S)WIMBLEDON -left and A GALLON OF MELON -right. The green one was a gift for my friend - she loves it. The coral one is mine, I love it. It almost looks neon on my nails. I will definitely do a blog post with it - probably in a few days. About the new brush? It's OK, but nowhere near the good ones (Essie, for example). (Price: 2,59€ in DM)

ESSENCE NAIL ART EXPRESS DRY DROPS. This I have repurchased many times before. I don't know what kind of magic is in there, but it really makes your nail polish dry quicker. I would recommend this to anyone! (Price: 2,19€ in DM)

Today I would like to talk about a brilliant drugstore lip gloss / lip lacquer. 

These Manhattan lip lacquers are new to me, I don't think they have been available in our drugstores for a long time. I got it for a little bit less than 6€ in DM, and there were two other shades available at the moment. I checked on the internet, there is total of 11 shades in this range. Other colors look really pretty, too.

I chose the shade called TEMPTING RED. It is a really pretty bright red, almost reminds me a bit of a bright pink with bright coral, it is so vibrant. It is a perfect spring / summer shade. 

This is so shiny! It's not called a lacquer for no reason, it really makes your lips look like they are polished with a high shine nail polish top coat, ha ha. :) The color is so opaque, you get full on bright color with just one swipe. This shade is not sheer at all.

Also, I heard these are some kind of dupes for the praised Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquers. I can't confirm that, because I have not yet tried any of the Rimmel products. 

Overall thoughts? This is a cheap, moisturizing and very shiny lip lacquer, that feels very nice on the lips, the color is great for sunny days, but it doesn't survive eating so you have to be careful with that. But that is expected with glossy lip products, so I can't really complain about that.

I like this lip lacquer more than I like any of my lip glosses. I would recommend it, if you don't care for the wiping off before eating/kissing and having to re-apply after.

The thing I like the most is the summery color I picked.

There is so many things, I want to try... Some of them I will, some I probably won't get the chance to - but hey, a girl can dream, right? :)

1. JOICO COLOR ENDURE SHAMPOO

I read many good reviews about Joico hair products and I would love to try some myself. After researching what they have to offer, this shampoo appealed to me the most. It has good reviews, and is meant for colored hair. I might order this from Feel Unique, it retails for 14€. 

 

2. REDKEN EXTREME ANTI-SNAP LEAVE-IN

I love leave-in conditioners, because I feel like they give something extra good to my colored hair. This one is a thermal protector too, which is a big plus. I read a lot of good reviews about this one and I would really like to try it. 

 

3. URBAN DECAY REVOLUTION LIPSTICK

I had my eyes on these lipsticks for a long time - specially on the shade 'Venom', a gorgeous dark purple-red. They cost around 20€ on Feel Unique.

4. PUREOLOGY REVIVING RED SET

Shampoo, conditioner and oil for red hair - as a redhead I always wanted to try products catered to my hair color - which is by the way a pain in the ass to maintain. There is no way for me to get anything like this on our Slovenian market, so - online shopping it is. If I had to choose, I would still prefer the Joico and Redken product mentioned above, but these ones would be really cool too. I would love too see if they actually make any difference.

 

5. MAYBELLINE AGE REWIND ERASER

You all know this concealer, it is supposed to be one of the best you can find in the drugstore. Of course I believe anything I read from fellow beauty bloggers and want to try all the things they praise. I will purchase this one with my next Feel Unique order.  

6. ST MORIZ SELF TANNER

This is supposed to be a great dupe for the famous St Tropez self tanner, and it is really cheap! I will definitely be ordering this one in the following months. I am really pale and the sun hates me, so there is no way I can get a natural tan. This will be my way of getting a bit of color before jumping in skirts and dresses without tights.

7. KERASTASE NUTRITIVE NUTRI-THERMIQUE MASQUE

Another hair product, I read a lot of good reviews about. I prefer masks to regular conditioners, and I think I would really love this. It would be a treat, though, because it is not on the cheapest side. Why do I want so many hair products suddenly? I guess that's what beauty blogs do to you. :)

8. RIMMEL STAY MATTE PRESSED POWDER

A really cheap and supposed to be really good face powder. I don't know why I don't already own this, it is an essential!

 

9. CHANEL SOLEIL TAN DE CHANEL

This cream bronzer is so pretty! Nicola from Pixiwoo used to use it a lot in her videos and that's when it got on my 'I want it but it is soooo expensive' wishlist. I think it would be perfect for summer! I prefer bronzers to blushers a 100 times.

 

10. BOURJOIS ROUGE EDITION VELVET 

I already own two of these lipsticks and they are my favorites. I want two more shades: 'Happy nude year' and 'Frambourjoise'. I might get the last one mentioned in the following week with some discount in Drogerie markt. 

 

11. MAYBELLINE FIT ME FOUNDATION

Wayne Goss (gossmakeupartist) said in his video, this is the best drugstore foundation. Of course that means I need it in my life. Immediately. His words are sacred to me! You know him, right? If not, you are missing out! He is the sweetest thing. 

 

12. MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATIONAL MASCARA

I had the chance to try this mascara this week - my roommate has it. It really is sensational, haha. :) I am buying it for sure, and writing a review about it. I tried many Maybelline mascaras in the time of my makeup 'career' and I liked this one the most by far. It separates the lashes nicely and gives just enough volume. The brush is really interesting and unique, too! 

 

13. ESCADA CHERRY IN THE AIR PERFUME

This will remain on my wishlist forever, because it was a limited edition perfume a few years ago. Since spring is around the corner, I started craving brighter lipsticks and summery scents, and this was a perfect summer perfume. The bottle is really pretty too. I might still find it on the internet somewhere. Hopefully Escada will bring out something similar this summer!
