Manhattan Lip Lacquer review

Today I would like to talk about a brilliant drugstore lip gloss / lip lacquer. 

These Manhattan lip lacquers are new to me, I don't think they have been available in our drugstores for a long time. I got it for a little bit less than 6€ in DM, and there were two other shades available at the moment. I checked on the internet, there is total of 11 shades in this range. Other colors look really pretty, too.


I chose the shade called TEMPTING RED. It is a really pretty bright red, almost reminds me a bit of a bright pink with bright coral, it is so vibrant. It is a perfect spring / summer shade. 

This is so shiny! It's not called a lacquer for no reason, it really makes your lips look like they are polished with a high shine nail polish top coat, ha ha. :) The color is so opaque, you get full on bright color with just one swipe. This shade is not sheer at all.

Since it is a very shiny lip product, it can't be expected to last for a long time on your lips. It doesn't dry them out at all, actually, it makes them feel smooth and nice and very hydrated. It rubs of totally if you eat or drink from a glass, from a bottle you can get away with it for some time. If you are not eating, it will last for a very long time. On me it did for about 3-4 hours.


I would highly suggest you to wipe it away before you eat, because it doesn't look pretty if it smears all over your mouth. On the picture you can see the stain it left after I wiped it off.


Also, I heard these are some kind of dupes for the praised Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquers. I can't confirm that, because I have not yet tried any of the Rimmel products. 

Overall thoughts? This is a cheap, moisturizing and very shiny lip lacquer, that feels very nice on the lips, the color is great for sunny days, but it doesn't survive eating so you have to be careful with that. But that is expected with glossy lip products, so I can't really complain about that.

I like this lip lacquer more than I like any of my lip glosses. I would recommend it, if you don't care for the wiping off before eating/kissing and having to re-apply after.

The thing I like the most is the summery color I picked.

    Res sem bila presenečena, ko sem zagledala tole v Müllerju, ker je embalaža čisto identična Rimmel Apocalips tekočim šminkam. S temi sem kar zadovoljna, imam že tri, tako da me zanima, če je tudi vsebina ista. :)

      Potem ko sem že objavila, sem se spomnila, da sem vonj čisto pozabila omenit. Če ga vohaš v steklenički, je kar precej umeten, ni ravno med najbolj prijetnimi. Ampak na ustnicah se ga nič ne voha, tko da ni problem. Zato sem tud pozabla oment haha :)
